Geographical Information System (GIS): Undertakes effectively the capturing and processing of spatial data in order to prepare base maps.

Capturing and processing of spatial data at Kamusongolwa, Lwamadamba and Muselepete areas. 

Survey Diagram Preparation: Undertakes accurately the preparation of Survey diagrams in order to facilitate for titling of land in statutory improved areas   Survey diagram preparation for properties at Muselepete Commercial area and Kikonkomene updated layout.

Building Inspector

Conducts stage building inspections in order to ensure compliance with building standards and regulations.

 

Building Inspections:           Undertakes timely stage inspection of buildings in order to ensure compliance with set standards.

Illegal Structures:     Undertakes the timely identification and reporting of illegal structures in order to facilitate for appropriate interventions.

Report Compilation: Undertakes timely the compilation of building inspection reports in order to inform and enhance decision making.

Performance management: Manages effectively the implementation of performance management system in order to improve and sustain performance.

Management: Manages human, financial and material resources enhance the operations of the department

Manages district Council Engineering works in order to construct and maintain public infrastructure.

Fire Services:  Oversees effectively the provision of fire services to the district Council in order to prevent loss of life and destruction of property by fire.

Parks and Gardens: Coordinates efficiently the creation and maintenance of parks and gardens in order in order to provide recreational facilities and beautify the district. 

Mechanical Workshop: Oversees efficiently the operations of the mechanical workshop in order to ensure the repair and maintenance of the council’s fleet of vehicles and machinery.

Electrical: Oversees efficiently the installation and maintenance of electrical systems in the district road network and general council infrastructure in order to facilitate the operations and safety of the public.

Roads and Drainage: Oversees efficiently the construction and maintenance of roads and drainage in order to facilitate movement of people and goods and increase the lifespan of the roads.

Buildings Maintenance: Oversees efficiently the maintenance of district buildings in order to ensure safety of buildings and prolong their lifespan.

Quantity Survey: Oversees the Quantifying process and General Procurement of Projects in order to create value for Money.

ARCHITECTURAL:  Oversees effectively the provision of architectural services in order to ensure adherence to architectural standards and design of district buildings.

Revenue: Oversees effectively and efficiently the collection of all revenues due to the Council in order to finance Council’s operations.

Expenditure: Oversees effectively the monitoring of expenditure in order to ensure compliance with Council’s budget.

Financial Reports: Oversees the timely production of financial reports for both internal and external users in order to facilitate decision making

Commercial Ventures:         Oversees effectively the operations of commercial ventures and investments in order to maximize their profitability and broadening the Council’s revenue base.

Payroll Management:           Oversees effectively the management of the payroll in order to ensure that expenditure on personal emoluments is accurate and contained within the budget limits.

Performance Management: Oversees and manages effectively the implementation of performance management system in order to improve and sustain performance.

Management: Oversees and manages the human, financial and material resources to enhance the operations of the Department.

Supervises and undertakes effectively the development of human resource in order to enhance productivity.
Recruitment and placement:
Supervises and undertakes effectively the recruitment process in order to facilitate selection and placement of appropriate staff.
HIV/AIDS Workplace programmes: Supervises and coordinates effectively the implementation of HIV/AIDS workplace programmes in order to enhance awareness and mitigate the effects of HIV/AIDS.
